The Formula Electric & Hybrid Italy (EHI) addresses the development and competitive demonstration of advanced electric & hybrid vehicles performed by university students integrating powertrains based on advanced technologies.

As a part of the goal is to address the industry attention to new solutions in this field, suitable to be transferred to the engineering and industrial development process.

Another aim is to stimulate and activate exchange of information and contacts among academic institutions and relevant supportive industries about these new and socially beneficial technologies.

Formula Electric & Hybrid Italy 2011 event will take place at IVECO Testing Track in Turin, from September 29 till October 2, 2011.


The classes admitted will be:

Class 1 E Electric Vehicle compliant to 2011 FSE or 2011 FS Class 1A Rules

Class 1 H Hybrid Vehicle compliant to 2011 US Formula Hybrid rules or 2011 FS Class 1A

Class 3 project only

The only admitted fuels at the competition will be unleaded 98 RON Gasoline and E85.

New ATA event!

The 1st edition of the ATA Green Marathon will take place in parallel with the Formula EHI on Sept 29-30 Oct 1-2, 2011 in the IVECO Testing Track in Turin.

The ATA Green Marathon^TM competition challenges teams of university (undergraduate and graduate students) and technical high school to conceive, design, fabricate, develop and compete with small vehicle "Urban Concept" powered with conventional powertrain (internal combustion engine), hybrid and full electric cars.
